Job Requirements

  • Minimum three years of sous chef or comparable experience in a full-service and high-volume restaurant
  • ServSafe certification
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage a team of up to 75 people
  • Experience with back-office and POS systems
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and 12+ hour shifts
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Maintain professional appearance
  • Adaptability to changing environments

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of sous chef or comparable experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with back-office and POS systems such as Restaurant 365, Hot Schedules, and Micros
  • Advanced organizational skills
  • Culinary arts degree or related certification is a plus
  • ServSafe certified
  • Strong knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual skills are a plus

Job Duties

  • Coordinate, lead, and direct line cooks, prep cooks, and utility team members
  • Train and validate new cooks and provide ongoing coaching to existing staff
  • Partner with executive chef, general manager, and front-of-house managers on training and education
  • Ensure 100% recipe adherence by all team members
  • Hold team accountable to company policies and procedures
  • Implement and maintain strict safety and sanitation standards
  • Lead the implementation of HACCP plan and ensure team compliance
  • Maintain clear communication with executive chef, general manager, and corporate chef
  • Assist executive chef in managing food cost and controllable costs
  • Manage culinary back-office accounting and scheduling systems
  • Perform accurate inventories and communicate food cost issues
  • Conduct line and quality checks to ensure food quality and kitchen readiness
  • Enforce proper image and appearance guidelines among team members
