Job Requirements

  • Two to three years experience in a culinary role
  • Culinary degree or equivalent post-high school education
  • Knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation standards
  • Experience managing staff and operational functions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Willingness to be involved directly in kitchen operations

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years experience in a related culinary position
  • Two to three years of post-high school education preferably in culinary arts
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and practices in the food profession
  • Experience in managing people and resolving workplace problems
  • Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
  • Willingness to be hands-on with staff and operations
  • Willingness to work event-based hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods for designated units
  • Ensure sufficient inventory is maintained and manage food deliveries and storage
  • Maintain proper handling of food products and equipment to uphold food safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen at all times
  • Interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach, and counsel staff
  • Resolve workplace problems and provide open communication
  • Recommend disciplinary actions as appropriate
