Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- culinary arts degree or certification or a minimum of five years culinary experience at the sous chef level or equivalent
- previous experience in a culinary leadership role preferably in healthcare senior living or hospitality
- strong knowledge of food safety sanitation guidelines and dietary restrictions
- excellent leadership and communication skills
- ability to follow recipes and manage time efficiently
- compliance with covid-19 vaccination policies
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand sit bend and walk for extended periods
- ability to work around food and cleaning products
- current servsafe or food handler certification as required by state or county law
- residency within the service area
Job Qualifications

- must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds stand sit bend and walk for extended periods
- must be able to work around food and cleaning products
- current servsafe or food handler certification is required based on state / county law
- residency within the service area is required
Job Duties
- assist in preparing meals ensuring high standards of taste presentation and quality
- oversee kitchen staff to ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices are followed
- assist in menu planning and recipe creation keeping resident preferences and dietary needs in mind
- monitor inventory food costs and waste to maximize efficiency
- train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and service
- maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas and equipment
- ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food preparation and service
- communicate effectively with dining staff residents and management to provide an excellent dining experience
- perform other duties as assigned
