Job Requirements
- Education or certification in culinary arts or related field
- Three to five years of experience in commercial cooking
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations such as HACCP
- Ability to supervise and lead kitchen staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows applications
- Willingness to work onsite in Philadelphia-USA-19153
Job Qualifications
- Three to five years of experience in commercial cooking or apprenticeship or certification from culinary school
- Knowledge of food and hygiene regulations including HACCP
- Understand and demonstrate concepts of financial controls such as keeping food cost within budget and minimizing waste
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Service orientation
- Leadership skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
Job Duties
- Execute and supervise food production activities such as cleaning, cutting, marinating, seasoning, cooking of food items
- Assume responsibilities of Executive Chef when not available including menu presentation to customers
- Supervise, coordinate and control kitchen helpers in food storage maintaining tidiness and following first in - first out principle
- Conduct, coordinate and supervise inventories
- Monitor material consumption and order required food and equipment daily
- Participate in the development of food products and menus
- Support training of kitchen helpers
