Job Requirements

  • three plus years of culinary experience
  • ability to read and understand recipes and food abbreviations

Job Duties

  • Oversees food production and presentation
  • prepares food to recipe specifications
  • works with team to cook all food to proper specifications in a timely manner
  • creates menu specials as needed to utilize leftover product
  • takes lead on catering and in house event prep
  • contributes to the kitchen processes and procedures
  • complies with all food and safety sanitation laws and regulations
  • performs quality checks on ingredients and prepared dishes ensuring proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly
  • keeps workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
  • sets up and operates kitchen equipment
  • establishes and maintains work relationships, providing opportunities to develop skills
  • with the chef de Cuisine, resolves operational issues
  • performs opening, closing and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines
  • performs other duties assigned
  • assists Chef de Cuisine with baking
  • maintains employee check lists and prep lists
