Job Requirements
- Education in culinary arts or related training
- Relevant culinary experience in managing kitchen operations
- Ability to supervise hourly staff effectively
- Knowledge of cost control in a food service setting
- Experience with menu planning and food preparation techniques
- Familiarity with sanitation and food safety standards
- Proficiency in computer applications related to culinary management
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to engage in patient satisfaction initiatives
Job Qualifications
- A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate with required experience
- Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- Catering experience
- Experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
- Institutional and batch cooking experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and internet
- ServSafe certification is highly desirable
- Willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs and activities
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures for the account
- Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- Produce and execute catering events
- Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
- Supervise and support hourly associates in daily food preparation and cooking
- Develop daily menu items including preparation and garnishment
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and sanitation standards are met
