Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years sous chef experience
  • experience in a full-service restaurant environment
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to manage inventory and food cost
  • culinary training or equivalent experience
  • willingness to work at multiple sites including potential overnight travel

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of sous chef experience in a full-service restaurant
  • ability to lead and manage kitchen staff

Job Duties

  • Run BOH shifts and ensure effective and efficient BOH operations including food prep and cooking
  • ensure adequate inventory levels of food and supplies
  • supervise kitchen, dish, and other BOH teams
  • lead BOH pre-shift meetings and participate in line, temp and cooler checks and food tastings
  • partner with GM and management to review and maintain recipe books
  • perform regular line checks to ensure menu quality
  • purchase and order food products and supplies including daily orders
  • assist with tracking and controlling food cost
  • ensure effective communication between FOH and BOH
  • interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise and develop BOH employees
  • promote teamwork across all teams
  • handle guest, vendor, and employee issues with patience and courtesy
  • work varied shifts including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and potential overnight travel
  • move and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
