Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in sous chef or kitchen management role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage and motivate a culinary team
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Proven success as a Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume upscale restaurant or high-end resort restaurant
  • Strong passion for culinary excellence, wine knowledge, and service
  • Proven ability to develop team members
  • Knowledge of kitchen systems, methods, and processes that ensure great execution
  • Stable job history showing upward career progression

Job Duties

  • Support the Executive Chef in leading a culinary team
  • Ensure proper food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Maintain high standards for the quality and taste of menu items
  • Contribute to top line sales growth through excellent guest and team member experience
  • Manage and develop kitchen staff effectively
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and compliance
  • Assist in profitability management and cost control
