Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as sous chef or kitchen manager in upscale dining
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices
- Ability to lead and develop kitchen staff
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Proven success as a sous chef, executive sous chef or kitchen manager in a high-volume upscale restaurant or high-end resort restaurant
- Strong passion for culinary excellence, wine knowledge and service
- Proven ability to develop team
- Knowledge of systems, methods and processes that contribute to great execution
- Stable job history that demonstrates upward career progression
Job Duties
- Support the Executive Chef in leading the culinary team
- Ensure execution of menu items with excellence
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Contribute to quality control across all kitchen operations
- Develop and mentor culinary team members
- Drive profitability through efficient kitchen management
- Enhance guest experience through superior food and service quality
