Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as sous chef or kitchen manager in upscale dining
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices
  • Ability to lead and develop kitchen staff
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Proven success as a sous chef, executive sous chef or kitchen manager in a high-volume upscale restaurant or high-end resort restaurant
  • Strong passion for culinary excellence, wine knowledge and service
  • Proven ability to develop team
  • Knowledge of systems, methods and processes that contribute to great execution
  • Stable job history that demonstrates upward career progression

Job Duties

  • Support the Executive Chef in leading the culinary team
  • Ensure execution of menu items with excellence
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation
  • Contribute to quality control across all kitchen operations
  • Develop and mentor culinary team members
  • Drive profitability through efficient kitchen management
