Job Requirements
- Education equivalent to an associate degree in culinary or related field
- Experience in progressive culinary or kitchen management roles
- Ability to manage high-volume foodservice operations
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Competence in computer applications
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- ServSafe certified preferable
- Willingness to engage in client satisfaction initiatives
Job Qualifications
- A.S. or equivalent experience
- Some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
- Catering experience preferred
- Experience with high volume, complex foodservice operations
- Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
- Comprehensive understanding of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and internet
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
- Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- Produce and execute catering events
- Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team
- Supervise hourly associates and support kitchen staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with ordering and inventory management
