Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a professional kitchen
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation requirements
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight
  • Willingness to learn new culinary techniques and stay updated on trends
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and sanitation standards
  • Ability to develop and implement recipes and specials
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist in management of culinary personnel including hiring, training, performance reviews, scheduling
  • Create cost-efficient schedules based on forecast and budget
  • Conduct daily shift briefings on operational focuses and safety
  • Liaise with hotel staff regarding room counts and special orders
  • Complete employee performance evaluations
  • Oversee daily food preparation and sanitation
  • Support Chef in menu development and recipe implementation
