Job Requirements

  • Be in approved uniform attire and ready to work at scheduled time
  • Be in observance of good personal hygiene
  • Frequent bending, stooping, pulling, lifting 50 pounds required

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree in culinary arts or equivalent apprenticeship
  • Minimum three years of experience in luxury hotel, resort, or restaurant
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • Experience in menu development and inventory management

Job Duties

  • Assist executive chef or chef de cuisine in overseeing kitchen activities
  • Collaborate in creating menus and managing kitchen staff
  • Order and purchase stock according to specifications
  • Ensure quality control of meals and plating design
  • Enforce safety and sanitation standards
  • Conduct ongoing training and development of kitchen staff
  • Attend staff and management meetings as needed
