Job Requirements
- Be in approved uniform attire and ready to work at scheduled time
- Be in observance of good personal hygiene
- Frequent bending, stooping, pulling, lifting 50 pounds required
- Continuous standing, walking, repetitive hand motions required
- Ability to work in heat sensitive environment
- Ability to maintain moderate noise level work conditions
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree in culinary arts or equivalent apprenticeship
- Minimum three years of experience in luxury hotel, resort, or restaurant
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
- Experience in menu development and inventory management
Job Duties
- Assist executive chef or chef de cuisine in overseeing kitchen activities
- Collaborate in creating menus and managing kitchen staff
- Order and purchase stock according to specifications
- Ensure quality control of meals and plating design
- Enforce safety and sanitation standards
- Conduct ongoing training and development of kitchen staff
- Attend staff and management meetings as needed
