Job Requirements

  • At least 4 years of related progressive experience or culinary graduate with 2 years relevant experience
  • knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
  • understanding of health department rules and liquor laws
  • physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
  • maintain warm and friendly demeanor
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to prioritize and multitask
  • comply with hotel standards and safety regulations
  • maintain confidentiality
  • attend required meetings and trainings

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary graduate or equivalent experience
  • minimum of 4 years progressive culinary experience or at least 2 years with culinary degree
  • knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
  • understanding of health department and liquor laws
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to multitask and prioritize
  • effective leadership and training capabilities

Job Duties

  • Ensure quality and consistency of all meals produced
  • provide training and supervision to kitchen staff
  • enforce food specifications, portion control, recipes, and sanitation standards
  • control food and labor costs while maximizing guest satisfaction
  • oversee daily kitchen operations including hot and cold food preparation
  • respond promptly to guest complaints
  • ensure compliance with safety, health, and liquor regulations
