Job Requirements

  • college degree or certification in culinary field or hospitality field preferred
  • minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen preferably in a hotel or resort setting
  • strong leadership skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to manage inventory
  • knowledge of culinary techniques and cuisines
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • communicate daily with the executive chef regarding planning, staffing, and internal procedures
  • complete daily food requisitions and daily specials
  • assist in hiring, training, and coaching culinary team members
  • play an integral role in menu development
  • manage kitchen inventory including ordering and receiving products
  • maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • ensure all dishes are prepared to perfection
