Job Requirements
- Degree or diploma from a post-secondary culinary arts program (preferred)
- Minimum three years in a food preparation leadership role encompassing all phases of kitchen operations
- Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) required
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
- Experience working in a hot, humid, and fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and composure under pressure
Job Qualifications

- Proficient with all kitchen equipment, tools, and safety procedures
- Strong awareness of occupational hazards, safety precautions, and sanitation protocols
- Skilled in supervising and motivating culinary staff while maintaining quality and consistency
- Understands the importance of timely prep and execution for all service periods and events
- Demonstrates clear communication, organization, and follow-through in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lead food production and support the Executive Chef
- Food Safety Certification (ServSafe or equivalent) required
Job Duties
- Directly supervises kitchen staff responsible for daily food production, sauces, soups, and specials
- Performs daily line checks to ensure food quality, station readiness, and presentation standards
- Expedites food orders during peak service hours and ensures consistent plating and timing
- Leads kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef
- Trains, mentors, and evaluates kitchen staff with oversight from Executive Chef

- Ensures daily prep and event execution are completed accurately and on schedule
- Assists with inventory management, pricing, food costing, and cost-control systems
- Maintains proper portioning, recipe adherence, and consistency across all service periods
- Oversees cleaning and sanitation practices

- Assists the Executive Chef with menu development and event-specific menu planning
- Coordinates with FOH and Events teams to ensure seamless event execution
- Helps manage maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of kitchen equipment
- Submits ideas for operational improvements, menu updates, and efficiency initiatives
- Ensures food presentation meets club standards before and during service
- Responds professionally to member or guest feedback and assists in resolving complaints
- Supports banquet and buffet setups
- ensures timely and organized food service for events
