Job Requirements

  • Minimum culinary or hospitality education preferred
  • prior experience in a supervisory kitchen role
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to use hands to handle tools and controls
  • able to perform repetitive movements
  • able to walk or run for extended periods
  • ability to bend or twist body
  • demonstrated leadership skills

Job Qualifications

  • Proven leadership skills
  • background in multiple styles of service including breakfast, fast casual, a la carte, banquet, and fine dining preferred
  • strong culinary knowledge
  • excellent communication and training abilities
  • experience managing kitchen staff
  • ability to develop recipe sheets and specials
  • hands-on approach and physical stamina

Job Duties

  • Develop daily lunch and dinner specials
  • create recipe sheets for all menu items
  • train service staff and new kitchen employees
  • prepare schedules for kitchen staff
  • oversee lunch and dinner line daily and assist kitchen employees
  • oversee and prep for banquets and functions
  • place food and supply orders as needed
  • manage all A.M. or P.M. kitchen staff
  • coordinate presentations including set-up and service
