Job Requirements

  • Must pass a background check and drug test
  • Ability to work full time including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Physical ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Experience in handling commercial kitchen equipment
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Capacity to manage inventory and reduce food waste
  • Ability to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies

Job Qualifications

  • 2 - 3 years supervisory experience in food service
  • 2 - 3 years cooking experience, preferably buffet style restaurant

Job Duties

  • Prepare food to the specifications of the menu
  • Cook and assist other cooks during the food assembly process
  • Handle and cook proteins (meats) based on recipes
  • Prepare any necessary sauces or accompaniments before service begins
  • Estimate expected food consumption and proper portion control
  • Adjust food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific dietary concerns
  • Assist in managing up to 11 staff in the kitchen
  • Act as liaison to kitchen staff to ensure timely food service for all attending guests
  • Operate various kitchen appliances such as ovens, grills, charbroiler, fryer, etc
  • Maintain a minimum customer quality score and consistently strive to improve customer experience
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized and in spotless condition
  • Manage and maintain inventory
  • Keep track of food waste and report it to the Kitchen Manager
  • Work with Kitchen Manager to improve training, recipes, and menu items
  • Able to work in all weather conditions
