Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of kitchen experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or sous chef role
  • strong knowledge of Southern cuisine and comfort food classics
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment serving multiple dayparts
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification preferred
  • availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • assist the executive chef
  • assist in overseeing kitchen operations during service to ensure timely, high-quality food preparation for all meal periods
  • lead by example in maintaining kitchen standards, cleanliness, and organization
  • supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation, plating, and safety procedures
  • monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering and receiving, and minimize waste through proper portioning and storage practices
  • ensure all food is prepared according to restaurant specifications and food safety standards
  • support a collaborative kitchen culture by mentoring line cooks and prep staff
  • promote communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service
