Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cooking methods and procedures
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a team
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to manage inventory and cost control

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or a similar role in a high-volume kitchen
  • Experience in senior living a plus
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage operations within budget requirements
  • Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities
  • Assist in creating and updating menus to fit our brand's style and seasonal ingredients
  • Maintain the highest quality of food presentation and taste
  • Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance, training, and mentoring
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
  • Manage inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies
  • Handle kitchen staff scheduling and exercise cost control
  • Participate in the recruitment, selection, and development of staff
  • Step in to fulfill duties of the Head Chef in their absence
