Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of cooking methods and procedures
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a team
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Ability to manage inventory and cost control
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or a similar role in a high-volume kitchen
- Experience in senior living a plus
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage operations within budget requirements
- Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities
- Assist in creating and updating menus to fit our brand's style and seasonal ingredients
- Maintain the highest quality of food presentation and taste
- Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance, training, and mentoring
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
- Manage inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies
- Handle kitchen staff scheduling and exercise cost control
- Participate in the recruitment, selection, and development of staff
- Step in to fulfill duties of the Head Chef in their absence
