Job Requirements

  • Education at A.O.S. degree level or culinary certificate
  • Progressive experience in culinary or kitchen management
  • Ability to manage cost controls and expenditures
  • Experience with catering and high-volume foodservice operations
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft software
  • Willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • A.O.S. degree in culinary arts or culinary certificate and required experience
  • Some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
  • Catering experience
  • Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations
  • Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
  • Strong understanding of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and internet
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Effective leadership and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Assist the executive chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • Assist the executive chef with planning and creating menus
  • Produce and execute catering events
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • Supervise hourly kitchen associates and support their development
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Participate in patient satisfaction programs and activities
