Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to five years of commercial cooking experience or apprenticeship
  • Certification from an accredited culinary school
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene regulations
  • Ability to work weekends and day or night shifts
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Capable of managing large kitchen teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows applications
  • Commitment to food safety and quality standards

Job Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience in commercial cooking or apprenticeship
  • Certification from culinary school
  • Knowledge of food and hygiene regulations including HACCP
  • Understanding of financial controls related to food cost, stock levels, and waste minimization
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Service orientation
  • Leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications

Job Duties

  • Execute and supervise food production activities such as cleaning, cutting, marinating, seasoning, and cooking of food items
  • Assume responsibilities of Executive Chef during absences including menu presentations to customers
  • Supervise, coordinate, and control kitchen helpers in food storage and maintaining cleanliness
  • Conduct, coordinate, and supervise inventories
  • Monitor material consumption and order food and equipment daily to meet production plans
  • Participate in food product and menu development
  • Maintain and monitor hygiene, health, and safety standards according to HACCP
  • Conduct quality control checks and ensure compliance with recipe specifications
  • Organize, staff, and direct the kitchen area effectively
  • Guide, motivate, and develop subordinate employees according to Human Resources policies
  • Implement and control the cost budget and initiate corrective actions as needed
  • Support company quality and safety initiatives including Global Quality Standard, HACCP, and Lean Manufacturing
  • Support training of kitchen helpers
