Job Requirements

  • Education related to culinary arts or equivalent experience
  • Experience in kitchen management
  • Knowledge of catering and batch cooking
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and Internet
  • Ability to manage food cost and sanitation standards
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Willingness to engage in patient satisfaction activities

Job Qualifications

  • A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience
  • Some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
  • Catering experience
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience
  • Institutional and batch cooking experiences
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Experience with computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, E-mail, and the Internet
  • Willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs
  • ServSafe certified

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
  • Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • Produce and execute catering events
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • Supervise, prepare, and cook various food items
  • Develop daily menu items and their preparation and garnishment
  • Supervise hourly associates and work with Executive Chef to assist with ordering
