Job Requirements

  • minimum of a.s. degree or equivalent experience
  • prior culinary or kitchen management experience
  • strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • ability to manage and supervise kitchen staff
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
  • proficient in computer applications including microsoft office
  • must be able to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
  • flexible availability to work as needed

Job Qualifications

  • a.s. or equivalent experience
  • some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
  • catering experience a plus
  • high volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
  • institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • must be experienced with computers including microsoft office, outlook, e-mail, and the internet
  • servsafe certified highly desirable
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • assist the executive chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • assist the executive chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • supervise hourly associates
  • ensure food quality, presentation, and sanitation standards are met
  • participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
