Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three or more years of progressive experience in hotel food and beverage or culinary degree with two or more years of experience
  • Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for an eight-plus hour shift
  • Physical ability to perform frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, and walking
  • Capacity for frequent talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards
  • Willingness to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong customer service orientation and team collaboration skills

Job Qualifications

  • Three or more years of progressive hotel food and beverage experience
  • Culinary degree with two or more years of relevant experience
  • Proven leadership and managerial skills
  • Experience in high volume catering with hotel top brands and fine dining
  • Creative with strong service skills
  • Knowledge of current culinary trends
  • Ability to energize and develop culinary teams
  • Computer literacy
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Direct and supervise the efficient operation of food production areas
  • Monitor food outlets, buffets, stations, and food displays for creativity, quality, cleanliness, and food safety
  • Assure timely setup and schedule well-trained cooks in proper uniform
  • Assist the Outlet-Restaurant Manager and Banquet Manager in daily and weekly duties
  • Coordinate food and beverage services for conventions and group activities and collaborate with other hotel departments
  • Work closely with Food and Beverage Department staff to ensure smooth daily operations and continuous improvement
  • Oversee menu creation for staff restaurant ensuring high quality
  • Promote teamwork and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships
  • Participate in public relations activities showcasing food and beverage offerings
  • Ensure adherence to hygiene and safety laws and regulations
  • Respond promptly to food-related feedback and ensure appropriate reporting
  • Maintain kitchen equipment in good working order
  • Participate in hotel meetings and support team communication and development
