Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three plus years cooking experience in a high volume food service establishment
  • Experience training kitchen staff in culinary techniques or other kitchen duties
  • Food Handler's Certificate or able to obtain within 14 days of hire
  • First Aid and CPR certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • ServSafe Certification or able to obtain as determined by Community needs
  • Ability to pass DSHS and State background check
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Ability to adhere to safety, sanitation and infection control procedures
  • Culinary knowledge and ability to perform food service functions
  • Ability to detect hazardous situations and take corrective actions
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts Friday through Tuesday

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensure food service delivery standards are met and maintained
  • Complete food and supplies inventory and ordering
  • Provide support for the culinary team in the absence of Culinary Services Director
  • Prepare and present food and meals in accordance with planned menus and recipes
  • Follow established portion control procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness standards
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure quality and safety
