Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Adhere to department uniform and grooming standards including wearing slip-resistant safety shoes
  • Ability to stand and move continuously for up to eight hours
  • Capable of bending kneeling stooping and lifting heavy items up to 50 lbs as needed in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Comfortable working in a hot humid or noisy setting typical of a busy kitchen
  • Flexible schedule required including mornings evenings weekends and holidays
  • Availability during peak service times and special events essential to ensure seamless kitchen operations

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a culinary leadership role preferably in a high-volume multi-venue environment
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to manage and inspire a diverse team
  • Expertise in food safety kitchen operations and inventory management
  • Creative and detail-oriented mindset with passion for developing innovative dishes
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting

Job Duties

  • Lead by example guiding kitchen staff during AM and PM service shifts ensuring exceptional food quality and efficiency
  • Inspire and develop by training mentoring and managing kitchen team members fostering a positive and professional environment
  • Innovate by collaborating with the Chef de Cuisine to develop new menu items and seasonal features
  • Ensure excellence by monitoring food preparation presentation and safety standards to maintain quality and consistency
  • Streamline operations by overseeing inventory management staff scheduling and equipment maintenance to optimize kitchen efficiency
  • Collaborate with restaurant management team to ensure smooth operations and seamless dining experiences
