Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • relevant culinary training or certification preferred
  • experience in cooking from scratch with real local organic and artisanal ingredients
  • ability to manage kitchen administrative tasks such as vendor relations ordering and record keeping
  • knowledge of food safety standards and ability to monitor critical control points
  • current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain
  • flexibility to work after hours or weekends when needed
  • covid-19 vaccination required
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • physical ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • experience preparing high-quality meals for a large number of people restaurant catering or similar experience
  • experience meeting various dietary needs including allergies intolerances and restrictions such as dairy gluten omega-6s
  • experience working in an industrial or restaurant kitchen
  • knowledge and confidence with industrial or restaurant kitchen equipment
  • excellent interpersonal skills to forge respectful relationships with team members

Job Duties

  • work alongside a classically trained chef with 20+ years of experience including fine dining establishments around Columbus and worldwide
  • collaborate with chef to plan and prepare a weekly menu that caters to food allergies and intolerances while maintaining a 100% gluten-free kitchen
  • manage administrative duties of the kitchen including vendor relations ordering of products and maintaining financial records and receipts
  • ensure the kitchen is prepared to scale as the company continues to grow
  • assist with all events hosted at AndHealth some of which may be after hours or weekends
  • maintain appropriate cleaning schedules for the kitchen and all food storage areas
  • create delicious food alongside a high-energy team
  • prepare a broad menu from scratch using classic and modern cooking techniques tools and machinery
  • prepare leftovers for grab-n-go dinners for staff that work late
  • monitor critical control points on food temperature and refrigeration
  • ensure all kitchen staff are up to date with ServSafe and other necessary food handling certifications
  • assist the chef in cleaning sanitizing and preparing equipment and dishes
  • participate in maintaining inventory levels including dry storage refrigerated fresh foods and frozen foods
