Job Requirements

  • Completion of a culinary apprenticeship or certification from a recognized culinary school
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial cooking
  • Solid knowledge of food hygiene regulations and HACCP compliance
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop culinary teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications
  • Ability to manage food costs and operate within budget

Job Duties

  • Execute and supervise food production activities including cleaning, cutting, marinating, seasoning, and cooking food items
  • Assume responsibilities of Executive Chef during absences such as vacations and off-days including menu presentations
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen helpers in food storage, maintaining tidiness and following the first-in, first-out principle
  • Conduct, coordinate, and supervise inventories of food and kitchen supplies
  • Monitor material consumption and order required food and equipment daily to satisfy production plans
  • Participate in the development of food products and menus as needed
  • Conduct updates and ensure awareness of content in catering manuals
  • Implement countermeasures in production in response to customer complaints
  • Support training of kitchen helpers
