Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three years experience in culinary or food service roles
  • Culinary degree or equivalent post-secondary education preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years experience in a related culinary position
  • Possess two to three years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession
  • Experiential knowledge required for management of people and or problems
  • Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
  • Willingness to be hands on with staff and operations
  • Willingness to work event-based hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods for assigned unit(s) as directed by the Aramark Executive Chef
  • Ensure sufficient inventory is maintained to meet daily needs, record deliveries, handle discrepancies, and assist with storage
  • Maintain proper handling of all food products and equipment in compliance with food safety and kitchen standards
  • Uphold cleanliness and high sanitation standards at all times
  • Interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel staff
  • Resolve problems and provide open communication channels
  • Recommend disciplinary actions when necessary
