Job Requirements

  • Education equivalent to an associate degree or significant culinary experience
  • previous kitchen management or supervisory experience
  • familiarity with catering operations
  • experience with cost control and menu planning
  • strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • computer literacy including Microsoft Office and email
  • ability to work flexible hours and participate in client satisfaction activities
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • catering experience preferred
  • experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
  • knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends
  • proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet
  • willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures for the account
  • assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with the company marketing and culinary team
  • supervise hourly associates
  • ensure compliance with sanitation and food safety standards
  • maintain quality control and presentation of food items
