Job Requirements

  • minimum of A.S. degree or equivalent culinary experience
  • proven progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • experience with high volume and complex foodservice operations
  • knowledge of catering and batch cooking
  • computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite and internet usage
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
  • catering experience a plus
  • high volume complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
  • institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality production sanitation food cost controls and presentation
  • experienced with computers including Microsoft Office Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook email and internet
  • willing to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
  • ServSafe certified highly desirable

Job Duties

  • assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • supervise hourly associates and collaborate with Executive Chef/chef to develop new menus and assist with ordering
