- Previous experience as a Sous Chef within a fine-dining restaurant
- previous experience as a Sous Chef within a quality high volume restaurant
- proven track record of recruiting, developing, motivating and retaining a high performing kitchen team
- strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- ability to multitask and manage relationships at all levels
- leadership skill with confidence and enthusiasm to lead the team
- keen eye for detail to ensure high standards of food quality
Job Duties
- Be responsible for effective execution of all dishes, whilst ensuring consistent presentation and guest satisfaction
- be the key leader of the kitchen, effectively managing the team and driving food quality and standards
- lead, inspire and motivate the team to achieve loyalty and retention
- ensure overall compliance of Health & Safety and Food Safety to statutory and company standards
- manage supply chain and stock control effectively in keeping with the restaurant concept and standards
- manage the food margin within the targets set
- coordinate, control and manage all resources and commercials to achieve P&L targets
