Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible culinary experience in a fine-dining kitchen
- Experience with menu planning, inventory management, and ordering
- Strong background in working with seasonal ingredients and local farmers
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage and mentor a team
- Formal culinary training is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
- Must have a keen eye for food quality and presentation
- Strong communication skills including oral, written, and listening
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- A great attitude with the ability to inspire and lead a team
- Professional dress and behavior are required
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure
- Strong commitment to food safety and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen

Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and day-to-day culinary activities
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation
- Manage inventory, place orders, and ensure the kitchen is properly stocked with necessary supplies
- Assist in menu planning, focusing on seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes
- Ensure food is prepared and presented according to Max Catering & Events’ high standards
- Handle scheduling for kitchen staff to ensure adequate coverage during all shifts
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Manage kitchen prep to ensure all items are ready and available for service
- Address any issues with food quality, presentation, or guest concerns promptly and professionally
