Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar culinary leadership role
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff
  • Proficient in food preparation and kitchen operations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Supervises specialty restaurant kitchen operations, ensuring seamless culinary artistry and compliance with food and beverage policies
  • Creates captivating dining experiences through meticulous management of food quantities and artistic plating
  • Collaborates with Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Culinary Supervisors to harmonize kitchen operations
  • Delivers superior product quality, presentation, and flavors consistently
  • Manages purchasing, receiving, and food storage to guarantee freshness and minimal waste
  • Implements and enforces strict food handling and sanitation protocols
  • Stays up-to-date with OSHA, ASI, Health Department regulations to ensure compliance
  • Conducts comprehensive training for restaurant and catering staff
  • Drives guest satisfaction and continuous improvement through departmental meetings
  • Fosters a culture of open communication, promptly addressing associate feedback and concerns
  • Contributes creatively to daily and seasonal menu development
  • Utilizes budgets, operating statements, and payroll reports for financial management and resource optimization
