Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary training a plus
  • 2+ years of cooking or food preparation experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
  • Food handlers card
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to act as a working lead and coordinate kitchen workflow without formal supervisory duties

Job Duties

  • Lead by example by preparing, cooking, and plating meals to the highest standard
  • Guide the kitchen team through daily direction, informal coaching, and quality checks
  • Assist with menu creation, plan daily specials, and introduce fresh ideas for themed events and special occasions
  • Manage inventory by receiving, storing, and rotating food and supplies to ensure freshness and minimize waste
  • Ensure food handling, health, and sanitation standards are always met
  • Support the team by stepping in wherever needed to maintain smooth service and resident satisfaction
