Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or related training required
  • at least 2 years of relevant work experience required
  • experience in luxury brand or markets preferred
  • Food Safety Manager Certification preferred or required within 30 days
  • strong strategic leadership ability
  • excellent written and verbal communication
  • ability to motivate associates and maintain team cohesion
  • ability to prioritize work assignments
  • capable of working in high-pressure environments
  • competence in interpreting financial data
  • willingness to supervise and develop staff
  • ability to maintain client and industry relationships

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or equivalent training in hospitality or restaurant industry
  • minimum 2 years of relevant experience in similar role
  • experience in luxury brand settings preferred
  • Food Safety Manager Certification preferred or to be attained within 30 days
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to motivate and manage a team
  • knowledge of food cost control and inventory management
  • proficiency in menu development and culinary techniques
  • ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • excellent time management and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Maintain a file of recipes including ingredients, portions, and preparation instructions
  • assist Executive Chef in developing menus, recipe cards, and specifications
  • set standards and methods for portion control with value considerations
  • ensure recipe consistency and adherence
  • assume kitchen responsibility in Executive Chef's absence
  • monitor daily inventory for quality and proper levels
  • manage food and labor costs within budget
  • arrange staff training on equipment use and cleaning
  • organize monthly kitchen meetings
  • participate in performance appraisals and disciplinary actions
  • assist in developing and coaching culinary staff
  • attend manager and mandatory meetings
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
  • conduct daily kitchen walkthroughs
  • assist in tracking food costs and monthly inventory completion
