Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to understand and follow instructions in English
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • perform simple arithmetic
  • ability to understand measurements and conversions
  • two to three years of relevant experience
  • ability to plan and organize work
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment
  • multitasking ability
  • interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • two to three years' experience in hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred
  • culinary education desirable
  • supervisory background preferred
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
  • some knowledge of nutrition and diet
  • health care experience desirable
  • excellent interpersonal and social skills
  • serve safe certification a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare menu items in the absence of executive chef
  • supervise and support kitchen employees
  • maintain a positive and courteous work environment
  • follow recipes, specifications, and kitchen standards
  • operate and maintain kitchen equipment
  • ensure compliance with nutrition and diet requirements
  • manage multiple priorities effectively
