Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial cooking or culinary certification
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • ability to lead and manage kitchen teams
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
  • proficiency with computer applications
  • commitment to quality and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in commercial cooking or completion of a culinary apprenticeship or certification from a recognized culinary school
  • solid knowledge of food hygiene regulations (HACCP) and best practices
  • ability to manage food costs and control stock levels
  • strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and train kitchen teams
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences
  • proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications

Job Duties

  • Executes and supervises food production activities
  • assumes responsibilities of Executive Chef when not available
  • supervise, coordinate and control kitchen helpers in food storage
  • conducts, coordinates and supervises inventories
  • monitors material consumption and orders required food and equipment
  • participates in the development of food products and menus
  • executes countermeasures in production in case of customer complaints
  • supports training of kitchen helpers
  • maintains and monitors hygiene, health and safety standards
  • maintains and monitors quality control checks according to HACCP
  • conducts quality checks of goods received
  • monitors and ensures compliance with recipe specifications
  • ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed
  • guides, motivates and develops subordinate employees
  • makes the company values and management principles live in the department
  • implements and controls the cost budget and initiates corrective actions
  • participates and supports company initiatives such as Global Quality Standard, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing
