Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three plus years cooking experience in a high volume food service establishment
  • Experience training kitchen staff in culinary techniques or other kitchen duties
  • Food Handler's Certificate or able to obtain within 14 days of hire
  • First Aid and CPR certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • ServSafe Certification or able to obtain as determined by community needs
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Ability to pass DSHS and State background check
  • Ability to perform duties in compliance with Universal Precautions, fire safety, infection control, and sanitation procedures

Job Duties

  • Ensure food service delivery standards are met and maintained
  • Complete food and supplies inventory and ordering
  • Provide support for the culinary team in absence of Culinary Services Director
  • Prepare and present food and meals according to planned menus, recipes, and portion control procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness standards in the kitchen
  • Record daily temperature logs and monitor food quality
  • Comply with Universal Precautions, fire safety, infection control, and sanitation procedures
