Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or related training required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience required
- Experience within luxury brand or market preferred
- Food Safety Manager Certification preferred or must be attained within 30 days
- Ability to work varied schedules including over 40 hours per week
- Must be comfortable working in a shared, noisy environment
- Ability to work safely in high-temperature kitchen environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Maintain a file of recipes including ingredients, portions, and preparation directions
- Assist Executive Chef in menu development, recipe cards, and specifications
- Set standards and methods for portion control
- Ensure all recipes are followed consistently
- Assume kitchen responsibility in Executive Chef’s absence
- Monitor daily inventory levels and quality
- Manage food and labor costs within budget guidelines
- Arrange training for staff on equipment use and cleaning
- Organize monthly kitchen meetings
- Participate in performance appraisals and discipline processes
- Assist Executive Chef with staff coaching and development
- Attend manager and mandatory meetings
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
- Complete daily kitchen walkthroughs
- Track food costs and complete monthly inventory reports
