Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of culinary experience in upscale, high-volume restaurant settings
  • Proven leadership experience in kitchen operations
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations including HACCP
  • Ability to manage inventory and cost control effectively
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and team management skills

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or strong Lead Line Cook in a high-volume, upscale restaurant
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, stations (grill, sauté, garde manger, fry, flat top), and plating standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure during high-volume service
  • ServSafe or equivalent certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and menu execution
  • Lead, train, and mentor line cooks, prep staff, and kitchen team members
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Oversee proper food handling, sanitation, and safety practices (HACCP compliance)
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control alongside the Executive Chef
  • Support in scheduling, staffing, and ensuring smooth service during peak hours
  • Uphold and contribute to a professional, respectful, and high-energy kitchen culture
