Job Requirements
- Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively
- ability to lift and carry trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs up to 40lbs
- ability to perform reaching and stooping motions
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar culinary leadership role
- culinary expertise including advanced cooking techniques and menu development
- strong leadership and communication skills
- excellent problem-solving abilities
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- culinary degree or related certification is a plus
Job Duties
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef in menu development
- oversee and participate in food preparation
- assist in managing kitchen operations including staff scheduling and training
- maintain high standards for food quality and consistency
- mentor and motivate kitchen staff
- assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels
- ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- oversee plating and presentation of dishes
- optimize kitchen workflows to enhance efficiency
- ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and kitchen policies
