Job Requirements

  • Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively
  • ability to lift and carry trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs up to 40lbs
  • ability to perform reaching and stooping motions

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar culinary leadership role
  • culinary expertise including advanced cooking techniques and menu development
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • excellent problem-solving abilities
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • culinary degree or related certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef in menu development
  • oversee and participate in food preparation
  • assist in managing kitchen operations including staff scheduling and training
  • maintain high standards for food quality and consistency
  • mentor and motivate kitchen staff
  • assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels
  • ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • oversee plating and presentation of dishes
  • optimize kitchen workflows to enhance efficiency
  • ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and kitchen policies
