Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Culinary school background preferred
  • Minimum two years cooking experience in a dinner house
  • Experience in fish filleting, cutting, sautéing, grilling, steaming and making a variety of sauces
  • Ability to sauté, cook, broil, grill and steam
  • Must be efficient and able to handle up to thirty-five orders at a time
  • Must be fast and able to handle up to thirty-five orders at a time
  • Good communication skills with patience and ability to train others
  • Valid Washington State food handler's card
  • Ability to stand for longer than 8 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Mobility to climb stairs routinely
  • Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment
  • Must be able to work all scheduled shifts including day, swing, graveyard and holidays
  • Must obtain Class III A license as required by regulatory agencies
  • Pre-employment drug testing required

Job Duties

  • Provide superior guest service by ensuring exceptional food quality
  • Train new kitchen employees effectively
  • Cook for events, banquets, and kitchen line
  • Delegate food orders and duties to kitchen staff with excellent communication
  • Assist Kitchen Manager with menu development and other duties
  • Serve as back-up to Kitchen Manager when necessary
  • Ensure all sanitation procedures comply with established policies
