Job Requirements
- At least five years of previous culinary experience preferred
- Ability to work part-time schedule with variable days and hours
- Flexibility to be on call as required
- Must comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to supervise and train kitchen staff
- Must be able to handle physical demands of kitchen work
- Must be open to undergoing background and drug screening as per company policy
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or relevant culinary training
- Minimum of five years of culinary experience preferred
- Proven leadership skills in supervising and managing kitchen staff
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to prepare and present food following quality and production standards
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including on-call hours
- Experience with inventory management and cost control
Job Duties
- Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
- Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
- Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews, and recommending disciplinary action
- Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils and cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area
- Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to associates and customers
- Keeps up with peak production and service hours
- Monitors inventory and deliveries of products and supplies
- tracks product production, consumption, and waste
- Informs supervisor when supplies or products are low
- Performs other duties as assigned
