Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar kitchen management role
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff
  • Strong communication skills
  • Capacity to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to handle kitchen environment demands
  • Willingness to relocate or commute to Kansas City MO 64112
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Job Duties

  • Assist the executive chef in planning food preparation and presentation
  • Supervise kitchen staff providing guidance and training to ensure adherence to recipes and cooking techniques
  • Manage inventory control including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels to minimize waste
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen
  • Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences
  • Participate in the development of new dishes and seasonal menus
  • Maintain high standards of food quality taste and presentation at all times
  • Assist in managing kitchen schedules and staff assignments to optimize workflow
