Job Requirements
- Must be able to understand, read, write and speak English
- Must adhere to health and safety standards in the kitchen
- Ability to safely use kitchen equipment and utensils
- Maintain neat and professional appearance
- Apply commonsense understanding in carrying out instructions
- Comply with standardized situations with little variation
- Available to work flexible days and shifts including holidays
- Able to work without constant supervision
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years experience in a similar role
- Excellent customer service skills
- Food Handler’s Certificate within 30 days of hire
- ServSafe certification within 30 days if not certified
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
Job Duties
- Supervise kitchen and food preparation in absence of Executive Chef
- Oversee and organize kitchen stock and ingredients
- Ensure proper food rotation and quality assurance
- Keep cooking stations stocked during peak hours
- Hire and train new kitchen employees
- Manage food and product ordering and minimize waste
- Supervise food preparation and presentation to standards
- Maintain kitchen organization and staff training under Executive Chef
- Verify food storage units meet standards
