Job Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk and or sit continuously for eight-plus hour shifts
- frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking
- frequent talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling
- flexibility to work varied shifts due to the hotel's 24/7 operations
- commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment
- adherence to all municipal and state hygiene and safety laws

Job Qualifications
- Three or more years of progressive experience in hotel food and beverage or other successful food and beverage service industry
- or a culinary degree with two or more years of progressive experience in hotel food and beverage or other successful food and beverage service industry
- experienced in high volume catering with hotel top brands and fine dining
- proven leadership and managerial skills supporting colleague growth, interdepartmental teamwork, and exceptional customer service
- current on culinary trends and actively advancing culinary development
- highly creative with strong service skills
- demonstrated ability to energize a diverse team of culinary professionals
- computer literate
Job Duties
- Oversee and direct the efficient operation of all food production areas
- supervise and support the preparation of all menu items according to standardized recipes
- maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment
- monitor cleanliness across workstations and storage areas
- enforce food safety protocols
- drive cost-effective production practices by minimizing waste and optimizing resource utilization
- expedite peak meal periods with a hands-on approach
- monitor food outlets, buffets, stations, and displays for creativity, quality, cleanliness, and safety
- schedule and supervise well-trained cooks in proper uniform
- assist the Outlet-Restaurant Manager and Banquet Manager in daily and weekly duties
- coordinate food and beverage services for conventions and group activities
- collaborate with other hotel departments to meet client service agreements
- promote teamwork and maintain strong working relationships within the kitchen and supporting departments
- participate in media and community events to promote food and beverage offerings
- respond personally to food-related feedback and ensure proper reporting
- ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and in good working order
- actively participate in departmental and food and beverage meetings
- support colleague participation in hotel committees
