Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
  • Minimum five years culinary experience including supervisory roles
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen operations
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical stamina to meet demands of kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • Five or more years progressive culinary experience preferably in multi-service hotel or restaurant
  • Passion for culinary arts with experience in diverse cuisines
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Excel and Word for spreadsheets and proposals
  • Adaptable interpersonal communication skills for all employee levels
  • Proficiency in English reading writing and verbal communication
  • Ability to calculate basic math for menu ingredients and inventory
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment for extended periods
  • Ability to lift balance and carry up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to lift balance and carry with assistance up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods
  • Ability to withstand warm to hot environments using kitchen equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and execute high-quality dishes during service ensuring consistency flavor and presentation
  • Work with front of house leadership to expo ensuring smooth food flow and quality presentation
  • Collaborate with and coach team to uphold food integrity guest experience cleanliness and kitchen maintenance
  • Deliver exceptional guest culinary experiences balancing flavor temperature texture and menu flow
  • Analyze operational metrics including KPIs and P&L and connect them with operational improvements
  • Mentor team on skills technique and menu execution fostering continuous growth and corrective action
  • Facilitate communication through daily line ups weekly and quarterly culinary meetings to address priorities and concerns
  • Participate in recruitment training scheduling supervising coaching and motivating culinary associates
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and facilities collaborating with Chef engineering and vendors for improvements
  • Maintain communication with Executive Chef and F&B management providing updates discussing plans and aligning on priorities
  • Uphold company principles of People Place and Character encouraging team to embody company values
  • Partner with Executive Chef Sous Chefs and F&B management to deliver best guest experiences
