Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior sous chef or similar role experience required
- Ability to work full time Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 2:30 pm
- Commitment to food safety and quality standards
- Physical ability to perform kitchen duties
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to maintain a professional and positive attitude
Job Qualifications
- Prior sous chef experience or similar culinary leadership role
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to supervise and train food service associates
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with inventory and supply management
Job Duties
- Helps executive chef prepare and cook foods
- Coordinates activities of cooks and other food-service associates
- Assumes responsibility for kitchen and food-service associates in the absence of Executive Chef
- Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
- Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action as appropriate
- Stores food following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils
- Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area
- Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
- Tracks product production, consumption and waste
