Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum five years of progressive culinary experience
- knowledge of culinary techniques relevant to hotel f&b concepts
- strong organizational and leadership skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- proficiency with basic computer skills including microsoft excel and word
- physical ability to lift and move inventory and equipment
- ability to work under pressure in high volume settings
- commitment to uphold hotel and company values
- flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- five or more years progressive culinary experience preferably in a multi-service hotel or restaurant
- passion for culinary arts and experience in diverse cuisines
- proficiency in microsoft excel and word for spreadsheets and proposals
- adaptable interpersonal communication skills across all employee levels
- proficiency in english reading writing and verbal communication
- ability to calculate basic math for menu ingredients and inventory
- capability to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods
- ability to lift balance and carry up to 25 lbs
- ability to lift balance and carry with assistance up to 100 lbs
- ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods
- ability to endure warm to hot kitchen environments
Job Duties
- prepare and execute high-quality dishes during service ensuring consistency flavor and presentation
- work with front of house leadership to expo ensuring smooth food flow and quality standards
- collaborate with and coach the culinary team to maintain food integrity guest experience cleanliness and maintenance
- demonstrate ability to deliver exceptional culinary experiences balancing flavor temperature texture and satisfaction
- understand and apply operational metrics including kpis and p&ls
- coach and mentor team members to develop skills technique and menu execution fostering continuous growth
- facilitate communication through daily line ups culinary meetings and transparent dialogue addressing ideas concerns and priorities
- participate in recruitment training scheduling supervising coaching and motivating culinary associates for talent development
- inspect physical facilities and equipment collaborating to correct and improve operations
- maintain communication with executive chef and f&b management to align on plans needs and priorities
- uphold company principles of people place and character encouraging team values
- partner with executive chef sous chefs and f&b management providing a united front for the best guest experience
